Random Enounter on Hulu

I've had some random encounters on Hulu. One of them was on religion and atheism, but the one I had recently was on healthcare. Really people?

I remember when Donald Sutherland starred in a ground breaking comedy with Robert Altman called M*A*S*H and it the changed the way we looked at comedy and tragedy. Now kiefer has changed the way we view episodes in the new internet world. What a talent this family is.

Yup, a system that is bankrupting the provinces, takes months, even years to get even basic services so that Canadians come to the United States for procedures, It takes 4 and a half months to get approval to see a specialist for a condition. In the US it takes a maximum of 2 days. With cancer, that difference is enough to go from operable to inoperable. The mortality rate from cancers in Canada is significantly higher than in the US. It's simply stunning that people fail to look at the facts. Everywhere socialized medicine has been implemented, it's breaking the bank. EVERYWHERE.

Sure, it sounds compassionate, but when there's no money to treat anyone it's like giving away free water in the desert when you don't have any. You can drink all the water you want, if we had any. Wake up. This is the real world, not some Hollywood fantasy. Whatever you do, in the private sector or through the government, must meet one criteria above all else, sustainability, or else you will fail.

Socialized healthcare is simply not sustainable. I'm sorry, it's not. All you do is end up loosing it for everyone.
